Sounds like it’s way to clean.

What are the corals you are losing? Are they in the same location every time or is it random?

bleigh thats so strange you joined the forum on my birthday lol . well so far i have only lost two corals and they were in different spots in the tank, i have two wave makers and a pretty good flow and o have probably 25 frags all over my live rocks, i have a section for mushrooms, zoas , leathers etc all are doing good but there always seems to be one that doesnt make it at the moment i have a gonipora that seems to be going fast

You joined the day before mine... twilight zone?

Do you have any pictures of your tank or the corals?

The fact it is a Goni may be the issue. If I read correct that is the only one dying now. I have found they are hard to keep long term. Google advanced aquarist and Goniopora and they have some insight on it.

I had one, same thing. Looked great and a year in,gone.

What other coral did you lose and when

Shame to they are so nice.

well i lost a cephastria( bad spelling) and had some clove polyps that would not open up and an elegance coral that looked great for about a month then just closed up, i am being told that my tank may be too clean

First, I am very new to this too, so bare with me if I tell you the wrong things.

It may be that you need to move them around in your tank to see where they are the happiest. I'm having the same issue with my mushroom coral. Everything in my tank is doing great, but it seems to hate life. I've moved it to the very bottom hoping to make it happy.

I googled clove polyps. From what I can tell, they won't open in low flow. They need higher flows.

I also know you need some amount of nitrates and phosphates. I do not know what the minimum level is. However, if most of your corals are happy, I'd guess its an issue with lighting/flow parameters. Maybe moving the one you're having issues with will make it happy.
