I have a 20 gallon QT running. Has a 2" Valentini puffer and a pair of clowns. I have a powerhead running with the HOB filter. The filter died and I can't get a replacement until tomorrow. Will they survive 24 hours with just the power head providing oxygen? To top it off I dosed Prazipro yesterday!

AGHHHHHHH!

I can't get to the LFS...I am on a plane in an hour....hoping they will survive the night...I am home tomorrow afternoon. Fingers and toes crossed everybody!

aim the powerhead towards the surface to get max aeration. Don't think oxygenation would be your issue as much as ammonia buildup, right? Maybe a precautionary WC just to feel safe. crossing toes

Just did a 25% WC and have the powerhead creating a big ol' ripple on top. All I can do know is hope for the best. Who said this hobby was easy?! LOL!

I wouldn't worry! Prazipro is only effective in the water column for... I think 24-36hrs? I like the idea of pointing the powerhead at the surface to facilitate gas exchange- and if possible attach the sponge to the back side/intake of the powerhead- rubber bands or zipties- so water is pulled through it like Philipgonzales3 suggests.
