Hey guys my poor clownfish get my quarantine tank he's getting pretty sick. He arrived about 10 days ago, however wasn't until three days ago he started to look sick and a spot showed up on the back of his head. I dipped him in freshwater for 3 minutes and piece of his skin fell off showing very raw flesh. Today he showed a very raw flesh on his tail. I am treating him with Kanaplex and paraguard from seachem half dose.
I don't think he can make few more days without proper treatment.
I will appreciate any help

Sorry that you're dealing with this! Many cases like these are often the result of bacterial infections as the tissues are literally eaten way around the edges of a lesion. You'll need to try a more broad spectrum treatment first that covers a wider range such as API E.M. Erythromycin that helps with open lesions and swelling in conjunction with kanaplex + neoplex. In addition, I would give 90 minute melaflix + pimafix - or - Methylene Blue bath every other day.

Thanks, I will try some brine again....
Should I raise the temperature to 80?
I know some folks lower it to deal with some parasites. But for years I had fresh water tank and higher temps helps the fish to recovery and improve their health.
Thanks again!

No; keep the temps lower. Higher temps increase metabolic activity, which causes things like bacteria to grow faster. You want to slow everything down as much as possible, so lower temps (within reason - around 75F or so) is better.

Skin peeling is a classic description of brook, but this looks more bacterial to me

I would use metro, kannaplex and furan 2, the trifecta as its called. That would cover both.

The poor little guy went to rest today after many long battle.
Thank you guys for your stepping in trying to help.
Shipped fish during the winter is definitely a big NO NO, at least for me. Learned my lesson.
I am so sorry you couldn't save him.

That's a bummer, sorry! Always stinks when we lose one of our tank mates.
