Help!

Hi everyone- I use the 225 micron Mesh bag in my reefer 170 I get this stringy green stuff from the filter bag. Does not happen with the 100 micron felt but they clog in 2-3 days. I don't keep light on in my sump as I don't have a refugium. It's a pain in booty to clean! Any ideas?

Great numbers, small amount of algea in display, nothing abnormal

Are you dosing carbon/nopox/diy nopox?

I've experienced similar to whats in your picture when upping my carbon dosing too high, but if there isnt a large source of organic carbon being introduced to the tank I'm not sure what may be causing it. Someone will come by with a better answer I'm sure!
