I don't have enough water to get my tank started can i add the live sand safely a day before i have the system running? I will have like 50 gal of water in a 108 gal display. I need to get SOME water in so I can level but i don't have all the water until tomorrow. Will the live sand loose any bacteria or anything if its just in some water with no circulation? Thanks!

Expect tome cloudiness from sand at first but will turn out. Keeping the bacteria established and alive is key

Awesome thanks everyone!!!! i have pics of my new tank and equipment...is there a place i should start the thread? I'm new to boards sorry :)

No need to be sorry, s'all good. You can start a build thread here... https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/member-tanks.52/.

Also, once you get your build thread going, you can get your build thread badge by following the steps mentioned here... https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/so-you-want-a-build-thread-contributor-badge.590311/

Welcome! Definitely make a build thread on it and to answer your question as to where - in the "Member Tanks" section. Make sure you post plenty of pictures and get yourself a sweet 'Build Thread Contributor' badge!
