We have lost our entire tank to either Velvet or Ich. It was a very hard lesson learned but now we know more about the QT process. Question though, our scooterblenny is still alive. I’ve read conflicting information on whether they can be infected. In order for our tank to be fallow does the blenny have to be removed ? Thanks

Fallow means just that, no fish.
You will kick yourself if you introduce fish from QT only for them to become sick.

Sorry for your loss. No fish at all..
A must read. Good luck!

And the blenny will have to be treated for ich/velvet too. If it's ich, TTM will clear the fish of parasites; if it's velvet copper will be necessary. For either treatment the problem is keeping the fish eating without its tank full of food. Get some ceramic filter media like Seachem Matrix or Fluval BioMax. Soak the media with pods for a couple of days. Then place into the QT. Then also start feeding frozen suitable for the blenny like algae mix, etc. Once you see it eating the frozen food, then start treating the blenny with TTM for ich or copper for velvet.
