So I did another water change both fish are 1/4 sheet of nori looking good but even after 2 80% water changes I can't get nitrites and ammonia down im using the red sea coral pro cause that my dt tank salt and only salt I have please help I don't wanna lose these two

Sorry lost track of thread :( . What’s status? I’m hoping things resolved over weekend but if not....
Have LFS confirmed your results?
If biofilter is really not keeping up with one small fish and each small tank has rock in it try adding a bottle of starter like dr tims or micro bactor 7 to boost bio filter (don’t need entire bottle but don’t believe cant overdose)
Check feeding qty 1/4 sheet nori is a lot sitting in a tank with one little guy don’t leave it for long. Try smaller amt with vitamin soak short period time turn out.
Same for other food types fed small amounts consumed fully nothing hitting ground cpl times a day make sure nothing extra on bio filter to handle.
Give a shout here or pm waif I dont have the answers will try and hook ya up in right direction

So both these little guys are still alive I took water to my lfs and he tested with a salifert kit nitrite is about .30. I still can't get it down o well water changes every other day. They've been in qt for 2 weeks know no signs of anything bad. I figure 1 more week if nothing bad they are good to go in the display

I just transported a tank from 5 hours away and had ammonia/nitrite spike after I got it up and running. I used Seachem prime and stabilizer every 48 hours until the mini cycle went away. Which was 5 days of stress. It worked for me. Another option is if you see stress take them to your LFS they will hold on to your little guys until things stable out.

The smaller water volume is tough and may want to look at some type of marine pure block that gives ya a lot of square footage for bacterial growth perhaps. Get the capacity to churn waste thru ammonia to nitrite to nitrate in a hurry It’s tough your trying to do the best by your fish and one thing gets by and it sucks been there myself.
If you need a hospital, tank down the road will need a bio filter that can handle a load something to think of.
Glad guys lookin good still stay salty give a shout if ya need anything
