So unfortunately my filter on my 30 gallon tank broke. The tank is new as well as the filter. The tank is still in cycle its been 1 week and 5 days and my question is now if i get a new filter how can i transfer my bioload to the other filter ? Or will that affect the cycle at all need help please!

Its a top fin pf30 and it was working fine till i was changeing my filter pad i turn it off befor i took out the filter to wipe for any excess salt and when i pluged it it just makes a clicking type of noise and dose not pump any water out.

If it’s just making a clicking noise. It sounds like some sort of debris is stuck in the impeller. Take out your filter media and put it in a zip lock bag with some tank water. Take the filter off and apart and see if the impeller is hung up. It may just be an easy fix. You’re filter media should be okay sitting in tank water for a short while.
