Hey guys, wondering why when I perform a water change with apex and dos pump the remove pump cuts off before the add pump does. I believe this is causing my sump to overfill when performing large water change like 30 gallons.

New to reefing and new to apex. I did all calibration before hooking up for water change BTW.

Thanks

I replied to your same question in the Neptune Community Forums, but will repeat it here:

Have you calibrated the DOS? If both heads are programmed to pump the same volume, but if you calibrated the DOS and one head was off from the other during calibration, then the DOS will adjust the pumping schedule to compensate for the calibration difference. For example, if the left head delivered 40.0 mL during calibration, but the right head delivered 39.9 mL, then the right head will remain on a little longer during normal operation than the left so they both end up delivering the correct amount.

Ok sounds logical, I can't remember what the amounts were....should I calibrate again to be sure?

If you calibrate again now after calibrating previously where it delivered different amounts, it will already be compensating for that difference so it likely won't have any discrepancy. You really don't remember if the amounts were different?

They were different but not by much I remember that, I just don't know what the amounts were exactly, I wanna say the left was like 41.5 and the right was right at 40. But the right is the one that goes off first???
