looks like Dinoflagellates. Do you ever see any air bubbles on it?

I do not see air bubbles

It still could be dinos. Whatever the species is, all the recommended methods for reducing the appearance of nuisance algae should help. Manual removal along with reduction in Nitrate and Phosphate should help. How old is your system? Do you know the Nitrate and Phosphate numbers?
