Okay, so my reef has been all dandy until now. And I cant figure out what it is.
So recently my SPS have been browning out, my LPS have been receding skin and I dont know what was causing it.

First I checked my CA and ALK. CA 484 and ALK is at 9.016. So I figured it couldn't be that. Next I checked my salinity, 1.025. So I felt like it wasn't that. I never really have checked my phosphates because I've always kept my water pretty clean. I change about 25 gallons every 2 weeks and I have a 200 gallon tank. So I went out yesterday and bought a phosphate checker and its reading at 0.01. So I have no clue what it is??? My T5 light bulbs are about 3 months old so I doubt it could be them.

But again, if you can think of anything please let me know, Thanks!

CA 484
Alk 9.016
Phos 0.01
Salinity 1.025
Temp 78

Has you alk been steady? no fluctuations?
Do you have algae growing in your tank?
Have you made any changes before this started?

Yes my alk has been steady. I do have algae that grows on the glass after about 3 days.
but no hair algae or anything like that. And no I havent made any changes thats whats making it so difficult for me to figure this out.

whats your mag?

Actually, haven't checked that. Can that be a possibility?

If your ca and alk are steady Mag isn't really an issue. Also if you are doing regular water changes with a quality salt your Mag should be fine. Usually browning is a sign of high nutrients or possibly stress.
Do you run gfo? carbon?
Have you checked for pests?
Any fish that might have developed an appetite for corals?

Yes I do run GFO but not carbon.
I have looked for pest and usually dip and quarantine everything.
Do you think it could possibly be nitrate? I havent checked that but idk what would cause it to rise and not the phosphate?

Is your ca usually 484 I had issues with ca that high before
Yes, it is. I dont believe 484 is too high is it?

I have never had problems with ca that high. Nitrates could rise with out phosphates rising since you are running gfo. Should test nitrates.
No metal rusting in you tank some where, a dropped screw or something?
Hows the flow in the tank?
Just a matter of elimination now that we have looked at the obvious I guess it's time for a system description with pics. The more info the better
