Hello i am quite concerned here i have 2 tanks in my room one is a 300 gallon and its quite short and one is a 30 gallon reef tank and i have a dog who shakes his body like 300 hundred times a day and his hair just flys around and i want to know if his hair was to in the tanks ( both are rimless) will it harm them or kill the livestock

That's a good question!

Unless the dog has been given a topical lea or parasite medication, I don't think there is any real issue. We have a touch tank where people puts their hands and arms into the water on a daily basis. The skimmer traps a lot of hair that gets caught in the overflow screen, but the animals are fine.
