What is this all over my sand bed and rock? And how do I fix it? All parameters are fine.

Appears to be diatoms and often seen in newer tanks deriving from silicates and dry rock and even expired DI resin

Yes I remember my previous tank did this and this one did to and it went away just hoping it is running another phase and will go away tds is not 0 but only at 6 where I usually run it and it’s been fine. I mean my parameters are “fine” as in a normal acceptable range. I am thinking I may be over feeding or reef roids every 4 days may cause it. My nitrates are reading low like they should I have filter socks I change out every 4ish days and I have had chaeto in my refugium. All fish and coral seem happy and healthy. How would I get rid of this/ clean it up just siphon the sand? Any other way? What about the rock? Will a diamond goby clean the sand? Last question totally diff topic but I have some bubble algae and had it in previous tanks. Never knew how to get rid of it. I heard emerald crabs but also heard they can pick at coral.

Likely it is. You can siphon and reduce white light intensity and add snails such as:
Astrea
Nerite
Trochus
Nassarius

Your TDS is 6? Are you using tap water? How old is your tank? What are your complete current parameters and lights?

TDS is supposed to be 0 so obviously you have no clue what you are doing but keep sending out the HELP messages...lol
lol buddy I’ve had successful reef tanks for years yea people like u will cry if tds hits ONE but in reality when u live out in the country. You ain’t gonna get 0 haha 6 tds ain’t going to make a massive algae out break of any kind maybe if it was 60. Check your facts before your fiction “I have no clue”

Successful reef tanks for years? Yet, you can't figure out what's causing minor algae problems or even how to do tank husbandry? Eat a piece of humble pie and take some time to try and educate yourself in the hobby. Your reef will thank you later.....good luck

I have a large SPS bare bottom tank. Unless diatoms are causing harm to inhabitants then leave them alone. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Diatoms come and go. Diatoms often reflect the absense of a component of your ecosystem. I would add copepods and some phytoplankton. Leave your sand bed alone. Allow it to mature. Check your source water for silicates. If present then you may have to add a mixed DI resin to your RO system. Don’t overfeed. You pictures weren’t very clear. If the algae on the rocks looks like “snot” then you probably have dinoflagelates.

Its ok, I can tell by your thread history that you know exactly what you are doing and have years of experience with multiple successful reef tanks so I am sure you have perfect stable parameters. You will fix this little "HELP" issue in a minute and certainly do not need any suggestions from me....good luck
