I have 2 tanks. Took both in for water samples said they were almost exactly same and perfect conditions. My small tank is loaded with coral while my big tank kills everything i pit in it. Xenia, kenya tree cabbage. Only thing that will survive is zoas. Also have chromis doing fine and well

There are many reasons these two tanks could be getting such different results. What did you have the water tested for? It is quite possible there is a difference in a parameter that was not tested for. It could also be a biological cause such as a bacterial infection in one tank and not the other. Or it could be a flow or light issue.

What corals have you tried and what is happening when you loose them?

For us to help better, we need to know the numbers.
Can you quantify perfect conditions?

Everything was tested and no i cannot verify numbers. I know not much help. The xenia dissapears completely after a few days which colony was about half size of baseball. Kenya tree almost dissolved and cabbage turned almost white. Theres palys on cabbage rock they also went to shi* (not really a big deal on those). I was a serious upgrade on lights tho. Went from a 40w led in small tank and a new vipra165 in large tank. Did have lights on 20% tho in big tank

Should i run light at 10%?
go on you laptop/computer and google all the lfs in the area try and find ones that particularly deal in saltwater. Start cold calling begging for their PAR meter tell em you'll leave collateral whatever it takes. With a tiny bit of luck you might be able to find a par meter you can use for a day or two. $60 in gas beats $600 and a couple uses.
is something rusting in your large tank? Stray voltage?
This is def something to consider stray voltage may not be as common as rust or a magnet leaching metal into the tank but its possible.

How are you testing your water?

Nothing within 2hrs. We have 2 lfs and both strictly use api, which i also have just struggle reading the colors which is why i leave it to those guys. And btw they have amazing tanks only thing metal in tank would be a brand new blower. Wouldnt that fry zoas as well tho. Because they have definately grown since being in big tank
