A friend of mine is in the planning stages of upgrading his tank with a planned stock list of large species angels and tangs.

Tank dimensions in mind are
96x24x25 LxWxH (cannot go wider unfortunately due to potential location for an 8 footer or it would've been an easy choice)
72x30x30 LxWxH
72x36x25 LxWxH (taller was not an option with this due to accessibility issues with that amount of width in the potential location)

The 96x24x25 dimension was my recommendation since its easier to organize equipment under that length of stand (ime) and has neither challenges of doing maintenance on a 30" high or 36" wide but additional input or thoughts would be greatly appreciated incase there are factors/details I missed considering in his situation.

I would add if you’re going to go with a 96” long tank you might as well go 30”-36” width as well. Buy once cry once.
As much as I would love to push him for that since my own tank is a 96x36x30, he simply does not have any possibility in his home for a 96x30-36 footprint due to it being too long for that potential location. The only other spot is suitable for a maximum of a 72" tank
