Got a friend, recently picked up a 250g DD. 60" x 36" x 24" I'm assisting him in designing a stand.

Structure will be welded steel, powder coated. Skin will be a thin wood veneer, likely cedar, since he likes the wood. Doors have inset glass, to show off the sump. Sump is a custom 5' long job, very, very nice looking, done in white and red acrylic, with clear 'windows' to the various sections. Bench on the end will house a large ATO reservoir, padded lift up top.

Did a quick sketch...

Opinions?

looks good. I always like a lip at the bottom of the tank shelf
Lip? You seen my tank? I like a 'lip' as well :) About a foot wide :D

So... another concept, same tank size. This one would require removing the two factory corner overflows and drilling the end... nice, thick glass... I'm not ascared :) Seating might well end up being a purchased couch, but you get the idea. Box / endtable would hold a 24" square ATO reservoir. Back side of tank to house mount and related... We'll most certainly add doors at some point.

Thoughts?

Where can I see detailed pictures of the top your daughter painted? I see you mention it all the time, I have to see it!

Ask and ye shall receive.

Filmmaker, I'm not... but I did try and capture it when it was first completed.
