Why is it bad to use accu clear? I looked it up and it’s just a water clarifier
[/QUO it’s not bad but it was for a freshwater aquarium only and I picked the wrong bottle
It was a freshwater clarifierWhy are you concerned?
Oh awesome thanks I really appreciate itOh no it’s fine. According to api it won’t harm anything but it may cloud up your water from extra nutrients. Don’t worry about it though
My tanks about 85 gallons with sump and all but the accuclear was a freshwater versionHow big of a tank?
Accuclear is meant to bond smaller particulates into larger so the aquarium filter picks it up easier. Thus, clarifies the water. Since we dont know what is used to bond that particulate we are cautious. Never dose anything you dont test for is probably one of top 5 cardinal rules in our hobby.
Honestly 2caps full isn't cause for concern unless u have a nano or pico tank.
Like I said before, it’s safe according to api. Also, I wouldn’t use water clarifiers as they don’t work in my experience. The only one that works super well is nualgiIt was a freshwater clarifier
