I’ve had it for about 3 months, there was a bit of flesh on the stem when I received it, recently there has been a little drip in calcium, but I have been dosing every day to bring it back to normal. Everything else is at good levels. I have no idea what’s going on. Could an emerald crab be eating the flesh? I see him on my other torch sometimes at nightIt looks like it's in pretty rough shape. But need a lot more info:
A picture under whites will help.
How long have you had it?
Was there any flesh on the "stem" when you got it? ( It's completely receded now)
What are your parameters, (nitrates, phosphates, alkalinity, magnesium, calcium, salinity, and temp) and have there been any swings?
The flesh recession is most likely from less-than-healthy water conditions. "Good levels" tells me nothing...I’ve had it for about 3 months, there was a bit of flesh on the stem when I received it, recently there has been a little drip in calcium, but I have been dosing every day to bring it back to normal. Nope.Liek cmon this has be be the cause right!!?
Shoot what can I do/get to accomplish thatYou are starving the coral. You need nitrates and phosphates! I suggest nitrates of at least 10 (up to 30 would be better) and phosphates of 0.1-0.3.
I'm going to let you look into that yourself. Plenty of info already out there for ya!Shoot what can I do/get to accomplish that
