Hi all,

My heniochus is getting worse (see yesterday's post) He has large red patches and the other fish are still biting at the wounds. He will hardly come out. No other sick fish and parameters are similar to yesterday. See attached photos please.

If you can’t get him out into his own tank a.s.a.p., can you at least use some egg crate or sheet of acrylic or something to segregate him off to one end of the tank? Fish biting at his wounds... not good! At least it will buy you time to come up with Plan B.

Looks like skin damage getting infected. Melafix will work well for healing

Sounds good will dose melafix now and see how he looks in the morning.

QT is occupied at the moment with new additions, I will try egg crate to separate, but I don't want to add too much stress.

Unfortunately passed away, probably a combo of infection and the stress of being caught to go to the QT.
