90 gal mixed reef. Originally had a Durso drain hated the thing went with the Herbie and will never go away from it.
Question is what are you all doing when feeding corals etc with your return pump? I get turning down my Nero5. But to turn off my return pump to allow feeding of corals seems like too much. My sump backfills Everytime until it reaches the siphon break. I have a ecotech M2 as my return. I know it has a feed setting but trying to run everything thru my apex. Like the one button operation. Is my answer just to use a check valve? Never put one in cause I read the good and the bad. My sump fills to about 2 inches from overflowing when power is killed so never put one in.
Asking now cause like a genius I splurged @WWC sale this weekend and now know I'm going to more spot feed corals instead of broadcast feed like I have been doing.
