Ordered 5 relays, 5 ac adapters, a pack of hot water molding plastic, 5 project boxes, 5 or 10 float switches. and a pump.

Gonna try to make at top off from the fw tank on the back porch. after that an ato for Verdell's reef tank so she doesn't have to carry the water for top each day.

What you'all think. LOL

bought 5 of each to that I can screw up 4 times and get it right once. LOL

You'll wind up replaced the floats so it's a good plan.

that assumes I get it right the first time so the "extra" floats are backup.

the first thing and the safest is to do an auto topoff on my 55g FW no sump tank on the back porch.

If the float switches the ac you have a very dangerous situation.

For instance you can put you fingers directly on model train rails and not fee a thing. Because it is DC. If it were ac different story. Ac goes into the body, attacks the nerves and stuff. Not so with DC.

FWIW and a little history lesson (from the discovery or history channel) Tomas Edison invented the electric chair for executions. To show the dangers of ac vrs dc. He advocated dc and Mr. Westinghouse advocated alternating current. Alternating won out because you can use transformers to step up and step down the voltage/current. Making distribution easier.

Tesla invented Ac processes , they other guys had invested too hard in D.C. To admit it wasn't a good idea.
Tessa pitched Ac for transmission only to power the local DC turbines so what went into homes was safe.

They crushed tesla with false advertising and lies till he sold the Patent licensing and then went on to make a fortune and power in our homes unsafe. .
