who comes up with these names? but nice quadcolor!
looks a little bleached but once it gets its color back it will be a nice healthy pink tip bta I have had mine for around 5-6 years

Looks a little bleached and you are mainly seeing the pigments fluoresce. Maybe take a picture with a little less blue light so we can see the true colors. You may want to feed it till some of the zooxanthellae return if it is bleached.

just to let you guys no its not bleached. (lol) thats its color, its under T5 lighting 2 blue plus, 1purple plus, and 1 coral plus.

she has pink and rose bubble tips, they do not compare to this bubble tip. and we also rose bubble tips.

its much brighter in person. if you guys were to see it in person your jaw would drop. lol

also she got it in a fish store was a really nice GEM find.

Do you understand what bleached means? It means it has no zooxanthellae.. Zooxanthellae are brown and cause the anemone to be darker. That one is pastel and almost transparent which means it has very little to no zooxanthellae. Just because they have pigments that are colors does not mean it is not bleached. Pigments in a anemone sometimes get brighter when a anemone is bleached and sometime come back first. I am not trying to be an jerk just trying to help you out so this anemone does not eventually die.. I have brought back lots of bleached anomones in my life. Right now I am bring back a bleached gigantea which are extreemly hard to bring back. the anemone in my avatar pic is a H. crispa which was almost bleached.

Its def a little bleached, If you want a accurate picture of the anemone try using a flash when taking a photo.

sorry i didnt really look at the post i skimmed threw them, yes i no i should of said that lol. i no it will color up more, sorry about that.

Oh it has some awsume colors and looks healthy still. Just needs to get some Zooxanthellae back. I would feed it some till it darkens up a little. I would feed mysis.

I agree, feed it. Right now it is relying on minimal zooxanthalae algae to feed it so it needs to rely on its other source of life, eating.

so wanted to say yesterday morning this little booger has split in a clown tank we put it in. so far its doing great. i dont have any pictures right now but ill get some soon!

You can take the most insane looking coral, and take a photo using flash, and it will not look good at all.... Just FYI

To the original poster, how long have you had this? Unless youve had it for about a year without it changing colors on you, then theres really no way to tell what it will look like... Still cool photo, and cool looking nem

yea

Even the stripes on those clowns in the picture are blue

Thats because that insane lookin coral only looks insane under heavy blue leds. When you use flash it shows a truer representation of colors.

Thats why there is a ton of corals with blue sand and blue eggcrate. Neon colors appeal more then dull green.

When this stuff is in the ocean its not under a 20k radium or heavy blue leds, Only in the US do we think that heavy blue colors is good. In europe they think were crazy

Also i have anemones go from bleached to bright red/orange in a matter of three - four months.

Hmm...in a pic, "true color" to me means it looks like what I'm gonna be looking at when the nem or coral is in my tank, and I definitely run 2:1 blues to whites. Maybe you should say you want a "daylight" picture...which is usually less impressive as the colors don't show up as much. If Europe likes daylight tanks, good for them... Personally, I love the way the colors fluoresce under blue lights (or a 2:1 ratio), and I don't think that makes a photo deceptive in any way as long as the photo is a true representation of what it looks like in his tank...that's what makes it "true color."
