(Note that I cannot drill my tank.)

I'm planning a D.I.Y. Bean Animal style overflow box with 'soft plumbing' (due to the width of the table my tank sits on), except... my overflow box will have to hang on the back...

I can't find jack-squat on HOB-style overflow boxes THAT ARE NOT VIDEOS, especially BA style. What should I do? My tank is 20 gallons and I would like to add a 10 gallon sump. I have several 10 gallon tanks to use, save for the one that just cracked a day-or-two ago.

EDIT TO ADD: The tubing is going to be 1" - that's the minimum recommended size someone suggested to me. I would prefer to use clear tubing to make sure I can see if there's any "solid matter clogs" in the tubes (such as some type of build-up) but I don't know if that's quote-unquote "allowed" or if I have to use special specific tubing.

I saw this (relatively primitive looking) diagram someone made to 'explain' a HOB overflow - is this basically what i would have to do, then add the tubing plumbing to the box?

Additional question: is it theoretically possible to do a refugium in a 10 gallon with the Fiji Cube 10 Gallon Baffle Kit? i don't have much in terms of equipment to put into a sump so it would mainly be open for a fuge anyway.
