So since my first post here Feb. 7 about my saltwater adventures. I have watched just about every video on BRStv and UTube about Reefing. The changes since I stated in this hobby 27 years ago are AMAZING.Back then 1 gallon = 5-7 wattages of lighting. So my 250g had 3 x 400 Metal Halites & 4 HO Bulbs not sure if they were called t # like T5 today. The heat from 1500w of light over my years did my center bracket in .Canisters for Filtration + deep sand beds 6" or more. The amount of fish you could keep safely was ruled by the square inches of the each fish times all different numbers. So a 3 inch yellow tang could account for 18-42 gallons depending on your personal guidelines. Fiji rock transhipped ,Monday it was taken out of the water and Thursday i was picking it up at JFK.To bad the die-off was so much just about 95%.It took a few month to cycle it to safely put in my reef tank. Yet the Purple coralline algae was Amazing. When my MH first came on it was breathtaking..After 8 years ( if you read my first post here you will understand ) and the most info I have ever studied .

Sounds like things are going well so far. Is there anything in particular you need help with or any questions you have? From the post I read it sounds like you have a pretty good grasp of things!
