Well some of those didnt want to rotate I guess...these are the 150..its only been up since march..I'm slowly getting my colors back from the 90 but not what it was...every thing was in a 300 gallon tub for a month and really browned out...next shots will be the 90...

Those are pilot fish, type of jack...and sorry for the quality of the pics...The lights are so bright on the 150 the camera dosent like it...

LOL, you posted in the SPS forum and everyone seems to want to know more about the golden trio of fish.

How long have you had them? I looked them up and it said not reef safe and 3-4 ft at maturity. Just wondered what your experience has been as we all know what you read is not necessarily reality.

They are the first thing people talk about when they see the tank in person..lol..I'm used to it...I've read about them not being reef safe but they never leave the current..they stay up high in the water level and swim their butts off in the direction of flow...when on magnum kicks of and the other comes on,they swith as well....the pilots have always been my favorite fish and they look like they glow in the dark their so bright...thanks

so how long have you had those colonies???? i cant wait till my tank is overgrown!!! i got a few decent size ones but my most prized selections are still frags or small colonies...

I set up the 90 almost 3 years ago exactly...bought our house in july...so most of them from then...I have fragged the you know what out of them so keeps them trimmed down a little but now its hard to get in the tank at all..especially on the stag side...I cant get to that bottom corner to save my life...I cut a frag of the miami orchid the other week and of course it fell done in a tangled mess of branches....I'm a 28 year old sicilian boy and get pretty hot some times...had to leave it there and try again later..lol...I can say that I have great growth from my sps corals, they are really fun to watch grow....

I really started getting good growth when I started running the calcium reactor and the kalk stirrer...kalk is dosed in my system for 12 hours every day for make up...I go thru about 5 gallons a day of evaporation....i try to keep my PH at 8.4 and not let it drop even at nite..I hate when I go take a leak at 3 am and glance at the PH momitor and it says 8.2...but when its starts to drop a little, most of the time I need to add more kalk to the stirrer....I don't test alot,Ican usually look at the tank and tell if somethings not right and I don't do alot of water changes either...I'm a miracle mud head...Ive gone 3 months with out doing water changes since using the mud and finally did one for the ----- and giggles ya know.....
