Hi everyone my name is Jodi! Im from Georgia. Im 22 ( well almost, 1 more month lol) I have heard alot of mention of this forum on other forums so i wanted to see what all the fuss is about lol. I started this hobby a short 6 months ago in a 5.5 gallon tank.

I know.... horrible. I then got a 10 gal, after a few months a got a 28 gal bowfront, and shortly after that upgraded to a 40 breeder. I have a quad T5 fixture with the geisman ( or however its spelled) bulbs. I run a modded aquaclear 70 filter that is now half filter half refugium. And a seaclone protien skimmer. My inhabitants include:
Milo the percula clown, Mocha the black perc, Tootsie the sailfin tang, and a molly ( no name). I have a small collection of coral including duncans, frogspawn, hammer, fire&ice zoas, palys, mushrooms, rainbow bta, goniopora, plate coral, and some stuff idk what it is lol. Now without further ado, my tank

Haha... A very long hour.. If you have any questions and are having a hard time finding answers, hit me with a pm. I'll help if I can. But from what I've seen so far you can find or ask questions with fairly great responses. A lot of pro's and serious reefers on this forum. I've worked in and out of this industry for quite some time and have had hands on experience with most of the equipment/products out there. There's maybe less than a handful of corals I haven't transshipped in, fragged, and kept personally or professionally throughout the years. Good choice on the alveopora. Keep it up...!!

Alveopora? so is that what it is? lol the lfs sold it to me as a goniopora.

Alveopora has 12 tentacles per polyp and have thicker tips. Goniopora has 24 tentacles per polyps and are thinner. Alveopora tend to be more forgiving in the home aquarium.
