Hermit crab question.

So I recently started a 2.5 gallon for the gorilla hiding in my main tank (which I still have to capture) my questions are as follows.
1. Is 2.5 too small for an electric blue? My LFS is getting a shipment in this week.
2. Can they climb glass like smaller blue legs? To allow for the tree it’s open top.
3. Could it defend itself or possibly kill the gorilla. Finally
4. They’re social right? So I’ll at least need 2? Also here’s the tank so far (I’m thinking of adding a Xenia to the rock

I dont think the size of the tank matters much to a hermit crab. Thr problem might be finding food.
