Hermit crabs??

Hey, this morning my big hermit crab was like holing a small one. I separated them and a minute later he was back at it. Today when I got up I saw all three of my crabs stuck together! I separated them again, I have to go to work and I hope they aren't killing each other. What is going on!?

They might be fighting for a shell or just being hermit crabs. Hopefully none got killed

They just do that. Fighting over a shell or possibly grazing on algae that has accumulated on them. You can purchase shells and stick them into your tank to alleviate they're aggression toward each other.

Ive seem 4 or 5 on each other before. As long as there are extra shells, you should be good to go.

Good point tomek77pl! None have died. Thank you. I only have two fish in the tank at the moment to feed so maybe they are fighting over food situations. lol. I will drop some pellets in for them to eat and see if it helps.

Maybe the only thing for them to eat is on each others shells. Another point is they tend to congregrate together and that is normal. Be careful how much you feed as I think your denitrifying bacteria need to increase at this time. Turn off all your pumps and target feed only at this time.
