Hermit crabs

So I've three small hermit crabs as part of my cuc and for the second time this month I've found and retrieved a stray/abandoned crab claw. Are my crabs fighting or molting or is something else going on??? All three still appear to have all their claws...
50gal tank.

Definitely a molt. Sometimes I'm convinced mine have kicked the bucket only to see them scurrying around in a day or two.

Thats a full body dead or molted one.
I see it all the time and think some are dead but theyre just in a different shell lol
