Hermit Crabs

I got 5 little hermit crabs and they are so tiny that I accidentally threw one away before I realized very quickly! Does anyone else have them? How often do they molt? They are so tiny (smaller than a dime) and I have to get shells for them. Where do you get yours?

Hobby lobby shells can work just make sure they aren't painted or lacquered

Make sure you ask if they charge for the empty shells too! When I asked for some empty shells once when purchasing some hermits from a LFS, they ended up charging me $5 for each empty shell and I didn't notice until I got home
