Today i saw the empty shell of my snail at the bottom of my tank.
And my hermit was standing next to it.
Do hermits eat snails?
Or cleaner shrimp has ate it?

Or do the snails loose their shell like shrimps?
And get a new one?

Snails won't molt like a shrimp, but if a hermit outgrows its shell it can kill a snail and take the shell.

They will definitely kill to get a new home as they grow. The hermits that is. It's natural, but you'll have to replace snails at some point if the hermits take too many of them.

The shell of the snail were too small for him

So i put him in my refiugem .
Is that a good solution?

Sure. It wont hurt the hermit and it will keep him from killing snails all willy nilly.

Another snail question.
Do snails have male and female?
Once i had one snail and after 2 months there were too many tiny snails in my tank?

I honestly dont know. I know they lay eggs and the eggs are usually eaten by other fish/inverts. [HASHTAG]#reefsquad[/HASHTAG]

Not sure about the male and female, but I know what you mean about having a ton of tiny snails. Also, as far as the hermit goes, if he didn't take the shell it is possible that the snail died and then he ate it.

Yes that's true as well. Didn't even think of that :)

I am pretty sure snails are "both sexes". I could be wrong but if I recall correctly I am almost positive that freshwater snails are.

I will also add that eventually after you have had a ton of hermit crabs and snails over the years, shells just lay around and hermits do not have to kill for a shell. I have tons now.

Good news. I thought that hes dead but it had gone to the end of the shell that i thought he is dead.

I thought that too but wasn't sure. I have never had a hermit kill a snail.
