Anyone else run into this problem?
I think the culprit is my diamond goby; he has a fascination with grabbing hermit shells so I think he started killing. Possible serial killer here lol

Sail fin tang
Hippo tang
Diamond watchman goby(#1 suspect)
Clown goby
Mandarin goby
Chromis
Pair of clowns

Emerald crab
Hermits
Snails
Pepermint shrimp
Cleaner shrimp
2 nems

My evidence was 4 hermit crabs in the last 2 weeks all dead and eaten in my tank; all but the claws were eaten.

I would usually think the emerald crab but he just stays in one little corner of the tank and hangs out by himself...he never leaves his rock

The hermits could be killing one another. Add some extra shells in so they don't fight for shells.

I'd blame the hermits. You can't trust any crab (besides maybe a porcelain or acropora crab). I've had emerald crabs eat my acropora, hermit crabs kill my snails for sport (they don't even want the shells), hermit crabs kill each other, etc. etc.

Don't trust crabs! :ohwell:

+ 1 to hermit crabs. Mine always fight for each others shell, and the loser ends up dead.
