I have a few hermits in my tank, and I’m not sure if they’ve not been eating the diatoms or not.
I’ve only had them for about a week so I want to make sure they have the right food. They’re zebra hermits.

Hello,

I would guess the tank is fairly new. The diatoms will pass on their own once they munch up all the silica. Hermits are scavengers. Most likely they are eating left over food, algae if any, and other goodies. They should be fine.

Any tank pics for us?
