About a month and a half ago I bought to small anglers from my LFS. I also bought the tank they were in because they where to small to survive in my big tank. So anyways they have been doing great up until now. During the time I have had them. I tried adding a dragonet and a scooter (not at the sametime). Both died within a few days. Water tested fine after every death. To day one of my anglers died. I have to hermit crabs in the tank and I'm beginning to think that they are the ones responsible for killing the fish. Has anyone else had hermits kill their fish?

I could see this happening if the fish are tiny and the hermits are big. I recently had a porcelain crab which was suspect of murder to my Darwin clowns. I saw him catch and kill my clingfish. Lets just say my eel isn't hungry anymore.

Lol. The anglers were about and inch and a half. The crabs were about an inch. It's a small tank. Only 4 gallons. And I know that the anglers are not quick.

Have you tested for phosphates? Unless there was obvious scaring then it probably wasn't them
