That should work especially if you buy a smaller one unless you have inverts and corals then it won’t work.

Glad to see Hewbie os doing well! I lost my guy a week in. Was treating him for mild ich and he passed, learned that while the LFS had him for a month and a half they ran pure copper in the tank he was in

HAHA! Yup that would be puffers lol! They love to chew their food and spit it back out and put it back in their mouth and spit it out again and finally they’ll swallow it lol!

My last puffer did that with a piece of my finger. I hand fed krill. I also would put on a nitrile glove and pet him. One day i put my finger in for a pet without a glove. Pierre got a good chunk, spit it out, swam to it for his up close inspection then decided it passed all quality standards and consumed human.

Or even when the cleaner shrimp gets a bit exuberant under the fingernail. The puffer bite was much worse. Lest we forget a savage attack on his caregiver. Cute as can be though so I let it slide.

Mine got a piece of the cuticle. I do believe that's why it hurt so bad. But dang they are cute fish. I wish I had a tank to accommodate one today. Even a toby would be fun but I don't trust them with crunchy coral. I'll live vicariously through your posts.

Hewbie I specially ordered from my local Petco and Baby Hewbie I got a Reef-A-Palooza/NYAquatic. I’d definitely recommend purchasing one in person if possible.

I know they are so I could never stay mad at his cute little face no matter how much it hurts!
