Starting saltwater 40 gallon with 20 gallon refuge for the very 1st time. Boy do I have questions, but for start this is my setup. 40 gallon glass tank, as I said I am new to this so I don't have marine tank with all the whistles also am on budget (one wife put me on). Sooo I am doing PVC dual DIY overflow in to 20 gallon sump/refuge that I am going make in few days. It's all sitting on/in DIY stand that I am making now... so for start how much live rock and live sand should I use (to do this correct way)for my tank (36x18x16), also will 1" PVC provide needed flow as well 550gph return pump that I plan on using ... now I have more questions and to see to learn and I am hopping i will learn all my lessons here with you guys
