This is probably one of the bigger communities I'm posting in as far as reefing is concerned so here goes.
My name's Rodney, I've been keeping an 8 gallon reef tank for the past 7 months. I got into the hobby on a whim. After doing a lot of research and lurking on other forums. I decided to implement my knowledge and go with what I knew.
Everything's worked out pretty well so far, I had a few deaths early on which I learned from rapidly, and I put together a few DIY things like an Aquaclear 70 HOB fuge, and modded a seclone skimmer to not be terrible. I recently upgraded to a larger system that's getting everything slowly moved into it, of my own construction, based on what little I know about the hobby.
So without further ado. These are my current setups.
Here's the current system, still in progress. Nothing in there worth mentioning except that the system is the most "advanced" system I've ever made I ordered a reef radiance light, so this actinic lighting is only temporary.... Be gentle.
And here's my first system.
