I've been poking around the site for several months but just officially signed up today. Bannshy keeps telling me what a great site this is so I decided I'd take the plunge.

I've had saltwater tanks for over 5 years now. My tanks don't keep getting bigger, I just keep getting more of them. I have about 14 tanks, but that number keeps changing, so don't hold me to that. It's a great hobby, isn't it?!

I once suffered from MTS also but I only had 8 at one time. Now I only have a 215 DT 90DT and a 55QT.

Welcome to r2r! youve got quite the tank collection :) i cant wait to see some pics !

Not only does Amie have a bunch of tanks she has a lab in her basement. She is working on ways to raise different fish. From banggai to Cleaner Shrimp. Amie is a great addition to any site. Glad she finnally decided to join!

Welcome!

Wow...14 tanks? Holy crap!

I didn't think I'd get that kind of response. I guess you guys aren't breeders? I'm sure most of you have more gallons of water in your house than I do. My total gallon count is up around 275, give or take 20. I'm tearing 2 tanks down today, but setting up 3 more this week, so it's hard to keep a good count. Oh yeah, I forgot about the 120 gallon refugium, so make that 395...oops. But it's 90% live rock (so not that much water), and if it counts for anything, I'm borrowing the rocks from someone else. ;)

I look pretty normal when people come to my house. As long as I can keep my husband quiet, most people don't know that I have that many tanks. I only have 2 45 gallon tanks that are visible to visitors. One is a reef tank and the other is an anemone tank. Yesterday though, we were eating dinner at someone's house and my husband got to talking about my setup and by the time he was done, the people at the table had wide eyes and were looking at me like I was a crazy person. I need to talk to him about keeping his mouth shut in 'mixed company'.

We'll see if I'm a good fit over here. Like I said, bannshy talked me into it. I have a reef, but I spend most of my time taking care of babies, raising food, etc.

I'll see if I can get a few pictures posted soon.

Ooooo, I don't know about pictures of my lab downstairs, it's not very pretty - just ask bannshy. Maybe in a month, I'm doing some major remodeling right now. I tried to post pictures of my reef and was ready to post and lost them all - I'm not sure what happened. I'll try again.

Amie is the one that hooked me up with some berghia to raise. Taught me everything I know about them. This next week we are going on a aptasia hunt in a friends tank.
