I've been on another forum, and wasn't quite to happy with the experience. This one however seems much more friendly and welcoming, so here I am!
I've been in the reef game for about seven years now. My first tank was a 29 gallon Biocube that saw its ups and downs, of which taught me many lessons during its seven year lifespan. Even though my yellow tang was healthy, a 29 gallon is simply not optimal for long-term sustainability lol. The cube was recently torn down due to a tank crash caused from unexpected construction in my house. I set up a new Innovative Marine 14 Peninsula a little over a month ago and transferred my remaining coral and some live rock over to seed it. 7 years worth of bacterial colony buildup on my rock allowed me to basically skip the cycle, despite using new, dry sand. So far, the little nano is shaping up incredibly well.
Here is the cube in its prime:
And here is the IM 14 currently:
Additionally, here's also a pic of the 14
Thanks guys. Glad to be here and I hope you guys enjoy my little slice of the reef.
