Hey Everyone!

Hi everybody! Im jake from California. Im new to the forum. I've previously kept Herp and freshwater tanks but now I'm starting my first saltwater tank. I hope to focus on soft and lps corals. I've been saving up and assembling my tank slowly over the last 14 months.
55 Gal display
25 Gal sump
Running 2 Ai Primes
Sicce syncra silent 4.0 return
Reef Octopis 110 int skimmer
Cobalt Neo-therm heater
An aquatop MR-20 reactor
And a Maxspect gyre f230
All run through a Digital aquatics reefkeeper
I've finally got everything up and running, I'm just waiting for the tank to finish cycling. I can't wait to become more active in the community and I look forward to sharing with you guys!

Thank you! It's an ongoing learning process but I've certainly tried to take everything slowly and do my research.

Thanks a lot! Looking back I wish I would have started with a tank that wasn't quite so narrow so I would have had more room to play with my rock work but all in all I'm very happy with this start.

Welcome! I had a xf230 on my 55 and had to set it to %10 because it was so strong on my lps. What are you running it at?

Right now it's set to alternating gyre gradually hitting50% but I'm just cycling right now trying to keep everything moving and mixing as much as possible. Once I have fish and coral in the tank I'll take your lead and start around 10% and see how it goes from there
