Hey folks!! Just need some feedback!

Do you test any of your parameters? A canister filter solely for filtration is typically not ideal for a reef setup.
See if i can find the pic here. Hang on.
This was bedor the last water change.

Only 2 angels m8. Flame and peel.
Only other larger fish i have is the one spot.
Most of the rest are pretty well full grown.
The bi color angel was a no go. E ded uo being bullied by the four line damsel and returned it fairly quickly.
Lots of movement in my now 6 tanks. Soon to be 7.

Most times its near 2. Depends on my water change routine
And the oculas clown was lost in the meth blue/ich outbreak. Was to far gone to fast to save him.

You should have 0 ammonia in a cycled tank. Ammonia is very toxic to most living things in our tanks.

i'll be following along on this one. That's quite a load.

Wasn’t there someone who did something and trolled everyone and then broke down when he was called out?

I don't believe this is someone trolling, just inexperienced. That is based on the fact he is running a canister filter for a reef, using API test kits, and stocking his tank so heavily. Nothing wrong with being inexperienced, we have all made goofy mistakes in this hobby. This is a great place to gain some knowledge and make the necessary changes to have long term success.

You shouldn't take it personally. Some of the things you are posting are far from mainstream, which make some believe that this might just be an elaborate joke. I would highly urge you to start reading threads on how to start a saltwater tank. When most people miss water changes they have algae. With your ammonia levels, if you miss water changes things may die. You definitely want to rethink your filtration and lighten your fish population.

Yes. No ammonia.
#reefsquad
What is being asked?

Makes sure it’s rodi, Tap can kill bacteria and lead to ammoina.
I’d get a badge as backup. It’s cheap.
We are all aware api can be finicky.

A canister well maintained is fine for a reef tank.

How long/how did you cycle your tank?

That tank may be a 75-gallon... but I’m guessing only 4’ in length? {Gulp}

Ok that is fair. I am loved and hated for pushing the envelope.
I think u will find that my experience lead me to this. Not the other way around.
The fx 4 according to fluval sight. Has a aquarium copacity of 250 gal.
So we can have the age old argument (sumps/canaster) or i can do something new.
More then just a hobby!

Having detectable level of ammonia means the biological filtration you have is not adequate for your feeding/bioload. The ammonia needs to be converted to nitrite then nitrate. A healthy systems will show 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite, with detectable amounts of nitrate. The rating from the canister company is more indicative of the amount of water that can go through it. Beyond that, the amount of fish you have in a 75 is excessive. This is your tank and you can do anything you like with it, but keep in mind the recommendations in this thread are based on tested methods to help gain success and decrease livestock mortality.
