Hey from Colorado!!

Hey everyone!! I've been in the hobby for a few years but not on Reef2Reef. I've been active in my local clubs and have been hearing lots of great things about this forum so decided to check it out. I live in Colorado Springs and have three main displays, a 180g, a 120 and a shallow reef 80 cube. Eventually I'd like to switch out my 180 for something in the 300-500 range, but my 120 is going to stay with me forever, I love the footprint. Little about me, I love my leds and prefer them to t5's or halide, acrylic over glass, and love fish but am addicted to corals. Stonies are the best, zoas are honorary stonies, and softies have their place, just not in my tank, lol. Hope to get to know everyone here!

Oh and you have the marine bug too - I have two 180, a 125, and a 55 qt. I will have two 10' tanks to replace them soon enough.

Have you tried AA (Aquarist Anonymous)

No but we need to create a support group. My house is full of Rubbermaid bins of coral and fish and it's really out of control.

My wife is less than amused

MTD (Multiple Tank Disorder) of which there is no known cure. There is, however, one temporary cure for MTD which includes setting up a massive tank that takes up so much space that you have no room for the small tanks…thereby curing your MTD. This works but is only temporary cure. Before long, you will have found space to re-set up those tanks that you took down so you could set up that massive tank and the MTD starts all over again.

My wife is less than amused

My hubby is into the hobby as well, so it's pretty bad when there's no sane person to say that's enough, lol. Although I'm supposed to have his garage cleaned out so he can have his woodshop back.

What's happening colorado. Just got back from there 2 weeks ago, dang that's some beautiful countryside with the white top mountains and fresh air. Had no idea how big.micro breweries are up there-visited friends and hopped around to lots of different breweries-good times for sure. See u around here, Cheers!

Yup, he makes awesome stands. The stand for my 80 cube he made out of myrtle wood. He made a stand out of walnut for a 100 gal all in one we had that sprang a leak, so the stand isn't tall enough for a sump, but it was so cool we couldn't get rid of it, lol. The current plan is when the kiddos get older we'll box the top in a bit and make it a tortoise table.

Yah, we have some nice breweries around here! I haven't been to as many as I'd like, but there are some good ones. It's really cool here, but the altitude will bite you if you're not expecting it.
