Hey guys I'm feeling bummed right now

Hey guys I've had this tank for 1 year and change now...NOW I bought a filter called Rapids Pro Filter which comes with a Auto Fill System I'm sure plenty of you have heard about it and I'm sure some of you are like Oh No right now...Well yeah Oh No is right it's giving me issues the Protein Skimmer isn't working at all The Protein Skimmer Vent is collecting the nasty stuff and the Auto Fill keeps filling up the tank and my tank try's to over flow THANK GOD I had a bucket in hand to take out some water before it would over flow...I'm from NYC and I'm tired of this I'm looking for some help on how to at least control this filter and have things work or start by getting a refugeum (spelled wrong I know)...I know there's a lot of good people here that can help me out and now I need your help guys I'm in NYC and I have a 75G tank please help a rookie out thanks!!!

Wish I could help but that's a filter I've never seen before. Maybe someone else with @reef squad can be of assistance.

If the tank is overflowing is either because the syphon is not forming well or because it is returning more water than the overflow box can take. If it is the first, when you turn on the system the air is not being purged and thus you do not see bubbles coming out, or at least you don see the water going from the tank to the outer chamber. If is the least than although the water is reaching the back chamber the water level in the tank continues going up.
Correcting the first problem may be as easy as putting the filter (pump) higher so it decreases the head loss. If it does not work maybe the pump is not working properly.
Correcting the second problem, you need to dial off the pump output. Not sure how if there is a valve in the filter. If there is not you will need to add one or maybe putting the filter lower so you increase the head force.

If you could afford it maybe get a 10 gallon tank from Petco, get some acrylic or glass from Lowes or Home Depot. then build yourself a sump. Use the overflow box from this system and the return pump.

Remove filter, get small tank with return pump and build yourself a sump dude.

Clean it!!! Its very obvious it has not been cleaned in a long time. There is maintenance for any and ALL filters. Your animals depend on it. The water intake looks partially clogged, which will slow flow. Other areas I can see look very dirty. The skimmer will clog if not maintained and cleaned on a regular basis. The air intake on the skimmer will clog. I think you will find it works fine after cleaning.
Just make sure not to clean the biomedia. You can rinse it with tank water, and that's about it. Tap water will kill all the beneficial bacteria that help keep the water clean.

I don't have any experience with this type of filter, but I agree with spsreefs. It looks like it needs some major cleaning and perhaps that could help.
