I've always loved fish. I use to breed Betta fish. Have had multiple freshwater tanks and 2 saltwater tanks. Currently setting up a JBJ 28g cube (plug and play - currently cycling), saltwater. I'd really like to know what you guys think of the inhabitants I have in mind.

Planning on 3 green chromis, 3 Bangai Cardinalfish (I know lll probably end up having to give one back if they decide to pair), fire shrimp, Yellow watchman goby and a starry blenny (would be adding at same time or the watchman first, what do you think?). And YES I'm excited enough to make a collage!!

Planned coral. Toadstool Leather, pulsing xenia, organ pipe, and I already have a Kenya Tree who'll be getting his own little rock island ( like the pulsing xenia) so they don't take over. Of I was thinking little rock 'shelves' epoxied to the back of the tank.

Welcome aboard, Mary!

You're right about the Banggai - you'll end up with two. I've had no problems between my yellow watchman gobies (yellow male, grey female - finally paired up!) and my starry blenny, but the starry is pretty much kept busy by the kole tang.

Welcome to R2R!
You might be a bit heavily stocked with that line up. You'll have to be on top of water changes and nutrients added by the waste of so many fish. I tend to be more of a "small fish, big tank" kind of person. I feel like you see more of their natural behavior when the tank comprises what would be their natural territory in the wild. (Hard to do I know). Staying with nano-fish (as you mostly are) would be a safe bet and make for a really entertaining and fascinating tank, I think.

Welcome home, you will love it here!

Please keep us posted with the build with lots of photos! :)

High Mary
I had used to have a kenya tree. Island will not make much difference to it when it starts to reproduce. Mine broke off small buds which where carried around the tank and grew every where. I was constantly pulling them. Just wanted to give you a heads up so you can watch for them.

I wasn't aware of that. Thank you so much! At least now I'll know what's going on. [emoji4]
