Hey guys, joining the group after joining/finding R2R on Facebook. I have always had smaller salt water tanks. This is our first tank over 55 gallons. I love it. The tank we got for free minus the tear down that took a long time. It was fresh water when we got it. (how boring) lol. We got a T5/MH/LED moonlight fixture for 150 bucks from a group in the local area! 60" fixtures are not cheap new so we jumped on this offer. We run the T5's mainly and the LED's at night. I came across an awesome deal on LR at my local LPS. Shout out to Memfish, if anybody is on here. HEYYY!!! This is with the MH's on. The MH on the left is the K series we like the most. Seems to be the HUE we like more. Its how we bought the fixture. 12108282_10153714613740990_7936151941066018178_n.jpg

On July 4th this year my wife and I wear blessed with the arrival of our twin boys. 12141646_10153719535160990_3218485624469309526_n.jpg

Here are a few more pictures of our tank. It may look like they rock is clumped together but there are actually caves/tunnels throughout the set up. I plan on epoxying them together when I find the time to tinker with it. 12122943_10153714613750990_5441569826371852941_n.jpg

I eventually would like to add an over flow and a sump to the tank with more of the LR that look likes branches to fill in the top half of the tank. The skimmer is a Reef Octopus filtration is currently Fluval 405's x2. They came with the tank. The sand bed is at deepest maybe 2-3 inches.

As always we are open to ideas/pointers good or bad. We are going for a peaceful community tank with easier corals and peaceful fish/inverts.

Again, thanks for letting us join!

Welcome to reef2reef!!!

Welcome. And congrats on the twins. I too have three kids....now old and moved out, but was told when we were having kids that, "One is not enough; two is way too many; and three it total insanity." Well, it's true.

I'd suggest you start a Member's Tank thread and post all the info about your tank.

Welcome to the site!!!!! Great looking tank

Thank-you all for the warm welcome. Im hooked on the pictures that show up on the FB posts. One can only dream to have a budget tank and have corals that nice. I'll try to post in the member tank section. I currently work nights and they kinda get crazy.
