hey reefers

I’m up in Arlington. The only two places I buy stuff around here is from seaking in Bellevue, and from Crystal reef in Bellingham.
I’ve been to saltwater city a few times, but agree with n2950h about the underwhelming appearance.

I'm down in Tenino. I will drive up to Bellevue occasionally to check out Saltwater City and Barrier Reef. Any other good ones up there. Mail order is my friend. My tank is a 120 gallon mixed reef, mostly sps.

Hey Rufus, I'm up that way occasionally when I take the girlfriend to the San Juans or Victoria. Never knew about Crystal Reef in Bellingham, will have to make it a point to stop in there next time. Thanks for the tip!

Oh nice! I had some family down in Tenino, nice area. Well they're still there, but they're no longer family...long story. ;)

If you're driving up here you're cruising right by Aquarium Paradise by JBLM, definitely worth a stop as they had some great looking frags the one time I was in there. They're half fresh, half salt. Everything else I know about has been mentioned in this thread.

Are any of you guys active in PNWMAS? I just joined but it looks like thr majority of their meetups are in Oregon.

I went to one of the PNWMAS frag swaps last year or the year before (can’t remember) but all of their activity seems to be near Olympia or further south. So I haven’t joined.
I think their is a group that meets at crystal reef every month, but my schedule always conflicts.

I have done some business with Aquarium Paradise. I have a BTA that splits like nobodies business and would take the offspring there for in-store credit. They have been in the business for a long time. I stop in occasionally but rarely purchase anything.

If you’re looking for more than one, let me know. I’ve got 9 right now and I only want 3.

Ok, cool. What color is it? My tank isn't set up yet but the cycle should be quick as I'm using live rock and sand. Just waiting for UPS to deliver my Waterbox. Will be in touch!

I’ve got 2 different “rainbows” (multi color) a big old rose and 2 green and purple guys.
The rainbows are the ones that split on me. I can take some better pictures when I come home, but here’s a picture of the green and purple ones. Mind you the green and purple ones are under plant lights right now, so the color doesn’t look as brilliant as under the blues. The other are under LEDs.

I am in Seabeck. Have a Red Sea Max 170 up for 3 years now, an IM10 up for a bit longer, and a Red Sea 425 XXL in the garage that I will set up once work is not so hectic. I have kept fresh water since 1960 and marine since 1971.

There is a tiny shop - Shark Reef - in Silverdale where I get supplies (and the 3 tanks). I hit Barrier Reef once in a while on the way to see my sister in Redmond. It has good stock sometimes and nearly nothing other times - it is pretty small. Most livestock is purchased online.

I come from the East Coast where there is an aquarium club in every town - literally. Seems empty out here.

I'm in P.O. , and I agree I lived in VA Beach for 12 years and if you needed something you could get it anywhere.

I went to the shark reef today, I was surprised at how much of the livestock was not priced, other than that it was nice a little small though, but I walked away with a used 180 for a hundred bucks.

That's a pretty good score! I really dislike having to ask the price on everything that piques my interest, and I think that's part of what I like so much about Barrier Reef. Everything is so clearly (and neatly) marked.
