Hey everyone. I've been out of the hobby for some time. Well I've stumbled onto 2 separate tanks. A dual overflow 4' 120 gallon glass. Or an acrylic 110 32 inches wide by 22 inches deep by 36 inches tall. Was looking for advice mainly... Do you think it would be wiser to trade them both together for 1 full setup, or sell one to put towards the other. I stumbled upon both upon luck. Have maybe $380 invested total. Can anyone direct to someone who could point me in a direction. I've been out of the hobby for awhile, unsure of values of equipment lately. Or if it's even worth getting back in. Please and thanks for all suggestions. The 110 has stand and canopy as well

If the glass tank is not scratched up I would keep this over the acrylic one. I am not a fan of deep tanks and you will like the length of the 120. Not sure what they are worth but used tanks go pretty cheap.

I agree that for most situations long and wide is better than tall. Most fish swim horizontally not vertically and for coral that means more expensive lighting to to get the light to reach to the bottom of the tank. Additionally, although acrylic is easier to fix the scratches, it is also a lot easier to scratch.

Whatever you decided, we're glad you're here! Welcome to R2R!
