I have wanted to get into this hobby for several years and I finally have.
I am from Arkansas and my family is just as excited as I about this journey.
My current setup is a 40 gallon cube with 15 gallon sump. I will be running a Reef Octopus skimmer when I get a shelf for the sump to sit it on. I have a single power head with a SICCE 2500 pump for circulation. I do not have my light yet but it is ordered. I also have not purchased an ATO but plan to after Christmas.
I am still cycling my tank as I am less than a week into this. I plan to start as fish only for a few months until I prove to myself that I can maintain the chemistries of the tank but will be moving to corrals once I get the feel for it.
My current fish plan is for a pair of clown fish, pair of neon gobbies, and a firefish. I want something in a dark blue also but have not settled on that yet.
I will post pictures once my light comes in since it is kind of dark where I have it.
Look forward to learning all I can as I do better hands on learning than book learning
Randy
