HHH's 100 Gallon Mixed Reef

Got the Photon set up and got the mushroom rock pulled out and some acros remounted. Tank looks yucky with the white rock (I used dry) but here in a few weeks it should blend in a bit better.

We have a club meet this weekend and I should be getting a Walt Disney finally and a piece of RMF Acid Trip. Traded and got another piece of Snipers Blue and some other BC coral that I can’t figure out yet as it doesn’t match any pics of what came with the battlebox a friend got.

Loving the much cleaner look.

Think I got the light dialed in. Have 250 - 400 par across almost all acros. New frags are all mounted so now we wait for them to settle in. Check out the slimer avoiding the fight lol.

Have my first ever order from reef cleaners coming in tomorrow. Just a couple snails and hermits but for $6 shipping it was hard to pass up. My clean up crew for the last year has been 5 big turbos, a few astrea snails and a single Halloween hermit.

No issues from the shredded nem so far.

I did forget to post about how happy I was with the reef cleaners order. Not even one snail or crab seems to have been doa. Was a lot cheaper than my lfs and if you live in Florida and can get $6 shipping, it’s a no brainer.

Some new snaps. I surveyed some corals and they all said they like the new lights a lot and thanked me personally for ditching the angelfish. Aiptasia next.

Also that coral down the list has the most vibrant blue I have ever seen on the tips. It came in a battlebox and Adam said he lost the colony. I cannot wait for that thing to grow out.

Just went through this whole thing. One of my favorite threads. You started off saying you couldn’t grow acros. You sure were right. You are very bad at that ;).

I thinks it’s amazing that you started with dripping kalk, very little to no automation and black boxes for lights. Very impressive!

Awesome job! This reef has really grown into something nice!

Back in May, I moved and broke down/sold this tank and all of my equipment. Thought I would step away from the hobby for a while.

I am pleased to announce to my 4 readers that I am coming back this spring but will go with a smaller AIO tank and start from scratch.

Will start a new build thread and see what a small system may have in store for me.

Happy reefing!

Lookin good! Phenomenal color on your Acros!

Here is another follower, tank looking great keep it up.
