I keep my Alk 7-8 so that is not really low to me anyway.

Nice scape BTW. :-)

Cool tank! Have the torches been in the tank longer than the Duncan or the other euphylias? It's weird seeing everything doing well then to see the torches like that.

KH of 7 isnt low. Look up natural ocean parameters.

Man things aren't looking good, just moments after taking this picture the torch completely detached and so I binned it :(

Should I feed my LPS everyday or every other day?

Oh so sad, sorry for your situation :(
I hear 3 times a week. I try to give my torch a piece of mysis once per day, or ever other day. Did it slide away from the coralite?

This purple tip I have is currently in a phase of division. It's been cool watching how it's happens. It looks like basic cell division. Up until the last couple months I hadn't ever spot fed mysis to it. Just figured the current would work food around. Well it did, just not enough imo. So the torch had real slow growth and at one point looked like I was going to lose it as it began to recede. I gave it a dip, and started feeding it regularly. Came back fast.

Starved? Looks like it shrank up on the inside and detached from the coralite, were you able to look at the underside of the fleshy detachment?

This is why I no longer keep peppermint pricks.....I mean shrimp with any fleshy LPs.

I have now moved both peppermint shrimps to the skimmer section of the sump, hope it makes a difference otherwise I just don't know what on earth is happening to my LPS.
